The province of L’Aquila is located in the hub of Abruzzo. It is surrounded by Lazio to the west, Molise to the Southeast, Pescara and Chieti to the East, and Teramo to the North. It is the largest of all the provinces in Abruzzo, and it is the only one that does not have access to the sea. The reserve that has the loveliest waterfall of all the Apennines is the Zompo lo Schioppo Natural Reserve.
Though there was an earthquake in 2009, L’Aquila still retains its perfect shape for your exploration. There are various creative artworks and monuments in Sulmona which is the hometown of a renowned poet in Latin called Ovid. There are noble residences in Tagliacotto located close to the architectonic jewel of Rome. L’Aquila is dotted with beauty and monumental complexes that greatly impact the conservation of history.
